DUST COAT – Minimal Structure, Utility Detailing

The Dust Coat is a longline outerwear piece built around clean proportions, understated utility and This Is Fred’s signature oversized silhouette. Cut from 100% cotton, the structured fabric gives the coat a strong architectural shape while remaining versatile enough for layering throughout the seasons.

The open front is framed by an exaggerated collar and extended lapels, creating a deep V-shaped neckline and a relaxed, contemporary finish. A side-release buckle fastening at the waist allows the coat to be worn open and loose or pulled in to alter the silhouette, while the extended webbing strap adds an industrial edge.

Wide three-quarter-length sleeves and a generous longline cut reinforce the coat’s relaxed proportions, with large patch pockets adding practical everyday functionality.

Each Dust Coat is handmade in my East London studio, bringing together considered construction, functional detailing and a distinctly This Is Fred approach to modern outerwear.

Layer it over everything from a simple vest to oversized trousers for an effortless head-to-toe look.
