This Is Fred was founded by Scottish fashion designer Frederick Morrison, whose earliest inspirations came from his grandmother’s love of craft and creativity. Beginning his fashion education at Cardonald College in Glasgow and completing his degree at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in London, Frederick honed his skills in both technical precision and conceptual design.

He went on to work with renowned designers including Belle Sausage and Gareth Pugh, experiences that deepened his appreciation for avant-garde design and bold experimentation.

Launching This Is Fred from humble beginnings on London’s Brick Lane, Frederick created a label that merges gender-fluid silhouettes with a design language shaped by the strength and angularity of architectural forms and the organic flow of nature.
